WAKE 2. |

--2 shots of the WAKE tower. Orten Carlton: " WAKE had the disadvantage of being 250 watts, running off an ungrounded tower atop an old warehouse at 447 West Peachtree Street [at Pine Street]. At night, they made it to about Sam's Crossing in Decatur on the Athens Highway before they became hash. I never did get a clear listen. WQXI at least made it into Athens (where I was then--and remain) in the daytime; WPLO did even a tad better."
